God's word still changes lives!

Jesus told the church at Ephesus in Revelation 2:4 that, “I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” Unfortunately, in this day of apathy and indifference, many churches and individual Christians could have that same charge leveled against them that Jesus proclaimed to the Ephesian saints.

In many cases, churches are struggling because of the idolatry in the lives of God’s people. Additionally, there are quite a few that might believe they are redeemed because of their works and they are trusting in what they do in order to be saved, and yet the Bible makes clear repeatedly that it is only by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone that one can be saved from the penalty of sin.

Pastor Josh Tadlock preaches the Scriptures in such a way that emphasizes that God is sovereign in all things including salvation, current events, and that He alone is worthy of praise, adoration, and obedience. It is clear in the Bible, that Jesus Christ is “King of kings and Lord of lords,” (1 Tim. 6:15), and that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Phil. 2:9-11).

The understanding of God’s word and its application is very important to me as a Christian. Bible Alive Ministries is a major tool in aiding in my spiritual growth. For years as I listened to Dr. Ralph on the radio, I said Bible Alive is the most appropriate name for the ministry. In 2005 I began attending the Bible study and it confirmed that the Word of God seemed to come alive as Dr. Richardson taught. On the first day I attended, the late Sue Phillips informed Dr. Richardson that I sing. God has blessed me to sing each Wednesday. Bible Alive is a spiritual lifeline that has strengthened my faith walk under the teaching of Dr. Richardson and now Pastor Joshua Tadlock, a powerful young man of God. Pastor Tadlock is on fire for the Lord, continuing the legacy of Dr. Richardson, teaching and preaching as God will have him.
